BUSINESS

Government’s role in business is to create an environment where private industry/business can thrive. A profitable business generates income and as a result generates tax revenue (which should be minimal).  Additionally the business owner will profit allowing that owner to take their family to dinner in Coral Springs restaurants, shop in Coral Springs stores , buy homes in the city and make other Coral Springs businesses and business owners more successful. That business owner can employ additional staff which places more dollars in additional hands thus adding to the profitability of other local businesses.

This concept is quite simple. If the private sector is successful, government will be successful.

Our laws, ordinances and policies must take into consideration that if a business owner is willing to invest in Coral Springs, we must be willing to provide the environment for that business owner to be successful. We must do that without compromising the assurance that Coral Springs will remain the premier place to live, work and raise a family.

From 1995-2001, I served as president of the Arizona State Police 2000-member employee group for three consecutive terms. I took over this organization as it faced severe financial difficulties. In just six years, I took an organization on the verge of bankruptcy to a financially sound entity. This was done with the implementation of solid business practices and conservative financial management. This organization also operated a business marketing numerous law enforcement items. This business was also losing money when I took office. Within one year this business began earning a profit. I have a proven history of sound business practices and experience.
